You may remember this post from October 15, my fortune cookie stating I should remember three months from this date because "good things are in store" for me.
Well, January 15th came and went. Don't get me wrong- it was a perfectly normal day- but nothing that warranted a special promise inside a tiny cookie. I got up, went to work, and went to lunch with Chad. Jana, Emma, and Brittany came over for girls night in dinner and Jana highlighted my hair. I watched the premiere Project Runway I missed on Wednesday night, read a bit, and went to bed. Like I said- fine, but not mystical, magical, or referral filled. Very disappointing.
God is just reminding you it was just a cookie...He is so much bigger than a cookie. ;)
ReplyDeleteHe reminded me in various ways as well through our adoptions...sometimes gently and sometimes with an abrupt shutting of a door.
I just know something is going to happen soon for you guys and I am excited to see what God has in store!!!

Just remember the cookie could have said "The chef spit in your food". LOL At least you had a day spent with family & friends and a good job that will afford you a future with a beautiful child. The 15th came and went, but you still have the hope for the future and in God's timing, you will have your dream come true. Don't be disappointed, God is the smartest "cookie" of them all. Praise be to God. Love ya baby girl, Momma
ReplyDeleteThis process has so many highs and lows... it is hard not to be anxious and disappointed when you are waiting on "the call". Your referral call is on my prayer list!!!
ReplyDeleteI will email you a little later today about starting back up our Russian cooking - looking forward to it :)
Hey Sarah- Maybe baby Deetz was BORN on January 15th. Or maybe that was the day Baby Deetz got to the orphanage God has picked out for you. Or MAYBE that was the day...you get the idea. God is watching and waiting. His plan is perfect. Even more perfect than a fortune cookie. :) We are praying for God's perfect timing.
